Description : This article is how to configure settings of Customers using 'PAX' card machine in BOTTLE POS.
Step 1 :
Install the Certificate : Use the below Link to download Bottle POS Certificate.
- Double click on the certificate downloaded in the desktop.
- Click on Install the certificate and choose the Local Machine.
- Click on next and choose second option .
- Click on browse and choose "Trusted Root Certification Authorities"
- Click next and Finish.
Step 2 :Login to Admin account > Go to general settings > devices and locations > Details > set as mentioned below ;
- Device Type : General cash register .
- PAX protocol : HTTPS
- PAX IP ADDRESS : 192-68-1-23.BOTTLEPOS.NET
- PAX port : 10009
- Tripos lane ID : <DEVICE REGISTER>
Step 3 :
Login to Admin account > Go to general settings > Scroll down to credit card and set as mentioned below ;
- Select Pax-Application-Name : bottlepos
- Pax-Application-Version : 1.0.0
- Configuration-Timeout: 120
- Configuration-PromptForSignature: yes
Step 4 :
- Go to POS Settings > Set
- Header Line 2 : <store address >
- Header Line 3 : <Phonenumber of the store>
- Checking "Open Drawer For Card And Side Card " is optional and check or un-check depending on client requirement .
Step 5 :
Go to POS app > settings >general >printing > Cashdraw cutter and page feed >Check cash card Connected .
Go to Format and Layout > Set sheet width to 42.
Step 6 :
- Try to use card machine and check if its working.
- Ping the PAX machine to check if it working (Go to command prompt and and type ping <192-68-1-23.BOTTLEPOS.NET>)
- ping 192-168-1-23.botllepos.net (as that of PAX ) in command respectively to check if the PAX machine is connecting .
- Also ping the PAX machine to check if its connecting to the network.
- Use below steps to ping the 'PAX' Machine .
1) Press the Menu option (If this fails, hold the blue “FUNC” button and press the 1 key) on the PAX unit’s screen.(The Default Password is today’s date in MMDDYYYY format. If this is not the correct password ask your provider.)
2) Press the on-screen Down Arrow from the main menu to view the second page of options and select the Communication option.3) Press the Down Arrow from the Communication Options to view the second page of options and select the Lan Parameters option.4) Press the Down Arrow from the Lan Parameters Options to view the second page and select Ping.5) When prompted with “google.com” Press the green key.6) If the device returns “PING OK” (Please see the picture to the right), the PAX s300 /SP30is successfully connected to the internet.Note : If it does not ping, please check your Ethernet cable to make sure it is plugged in correctly and try again.
