CERT ISSUE

There was a recent update about Internet Blackout on Sept/30/21.  An internet blackout that will involve several devices that will not be able to connect to the network.

You may observe "POS is Offline" message on the BottlePOS program. Also, there would be many offline sales in POS Sales in BottlePOS if customer has processed the transactions.

When you attempt to login to the BottlePOS software, you can see below message" 



Also, you may not be able to browse the Admin URL on the customer's system. This will To resolve this issue, please download two certificates on customers system.
1. root-cert-new.cer
2. r3-new-cert.cer

Once the certificates are downloaded on the customer's system, please run the first file " root-cert-new.cer" and then " r3-new-cert.cer

Installation Instructions. 
Step 1. Double click on the  " root-cert-new.cer " and follow below instruction. 
Step 2.  Click on Install Certificate. 


Step 3. Click on Next.



Step 4 . Click on " Place all Certificates in the following store" and then click on ' Browse'.

Step 5 . Select " Trusted Root Certification Authorities" from the list. Click on OK. 



Step 6. Click on " Yes" on the Security Warning. 



Step 7. Please follow the same step with " r3-new-cert.cer" file

The Certificates are attached to this KB article. Please unzip the File. There are two certificates in the Zipped folder.


Note : You may experience Importing the Certificates for some systems.




Please follow below steps to resolve the Import issue. 


Click the "Next" button
Select "Place all certificates in the following store"
Click the "Browse" button
Put a check mark beside "Show physical stores"



Expand the "Trusted Root Certification Authorities" folder
Click "Local Computer"
Click the "OK" button.
Click the "Next" button
Click the "Finish" button
